Alexandra graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physiology from Michigan State University in 2013. She discovered her passion for serving the senior population while pursuing her second bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration at Northwood University and furthered her education at Madonna University with a concentration in geriatrics. Her love of working with seniors and health care studies made working in senior housing a natural fit for Alexandra. In 2016 she became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Michigan. Her belief is that our seniors have worked hard all their lives and deserve the opportunity to sit back and enjoy their retirement in a caring environment. She has worked in many different roles at Pomeroy Living since 2014 and became a member of the Pomeroy Living Orion family in 2018. Alexandra lives in Holly Michigan surrounded by her family and friends.
Melissa graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Gerontology from Madonna University and obtained an Activity Certificate , as well as a Dementia Care Certificate and became certified as a Dementia Practitioner shortly after graduation. Melissa is fulfilling the lives of her residents daily through her activity programming and life enrichment activities. Encouraging intergenerational programming with local schools and churches has been her passion for the last 15 years.
Her love for the senior population came from quality time spent with her grandpa and the mentoring he provided. She cherishes all of the memories, including driving her to and from school, and basketball practice, and of course attending all her basketball games. The roles were reversed when Melissa became his transportation -assisting him wherever he needed to go.
Living in Lake Orion, Melissa saw Pomeroy Living Orion and knew it would be an incredible experience working with the seniors and making a difference in the lives of everyone in the community where she lives.

Amy began her nursing career while still a high school student. Amy was fortunate to participate in a nursing program that collaborated with her high school education. This allowed her to obtain a nursing license at the age of 19 from Detroit Practical Nursing Center. With that license she immediately took a nursing position in a long-term care community. Amy’s heart has always been with seniors. From an early age, Amy visited her grandfather who resided in a nursing care center and knew the people who lived there needed her. She has a passion of caring for her residents as if they were her own family. Amy has spent her entire career in long term care. Amy has worked in many different roles at Pomeroy Living since 2007. We were excited when she chose to become part of the Pomeroy Living Orion team in 2019.
Chef Pete has come to Pomeroy Living Orion with an extensive background. His career began early in life as an Army Cook, where he learned many life skills and developed his love of cooking. Following his Honorable Discharge he attended Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island receiving his Business and Culinary degrees. He immediately put these degrees to use with holding chef positions in hotels, country clubs and restaurants. He was selected to assist in the openings of two large sporting event centers Turner Field and Phillips Arena. Looking at new adventures he opened his own restaurant in Rochester Hills and then made his way to Pomeroy Living Orion. This last career move was exciting for him as he was looking for a more balanced lifestyle with career and family. Chef Pete recognized a need in senior living. He wanted seniors to experience well-balanced, well-prepared meals without giving up taste and quality. Chef Pete shared, “I truly enjoy cooking for and interacting with seniors and the Pomeroy Living team”. Pomeroy Living Orion has a wonderful fine dining experience for our residents. Under the direction of Chef Pete, the smallest details are never overlooked. Pomeroy Living Orion is appreciative of what Chef Pete has brought to our community.
